Finally, it’s out the door!

This is a major update with lot’s of new features.

New News section featuring the best Fantasy Football news, both RSS & Twitter all fully searchable.

Re-designed Players section as well as a much improved player details page. New additions to the player’s section are ‘All Players’, ‘Watch List’, ‘Injury List’, ‘Weekly Bonus Points’, ‘Bandwagons’ & ‘Anti-Bandwagons’.

Have a look at a few screenshots, or view the video.

It should be available on the AppStore within two weeks.

I hope this helps you during the business end of the season, squeaky bum time as SAF would say ;)

I’ve had a number of emails asking what’s new in the upcoming version of FFM.

Well, a screenshot paints a thousand words..

An Anti-Bandwagon is the opposite if a bandwagon! Basically, which players are being sold the most. Should help you avoid a price drop for instance.

More screenshots another day, back to coding..

I’m looking to get some artwork done for the app, App Store images and an App icon.

Please contact me if you fit the bill or know where I should be looking.

Thanks.

What a weekend this one promises to be!

It seems that most people are fretting over the fitness of a number of their players with the likes of Bent, Lennon, Gerrard, Vidic etc etc all being marked as doubtful or unavailable.

Add to that the fact that it’s a double gameweek for Villa and West Ham..

The bandwagons are truly rolling for Villa’s Milner and Dunne with Milner going up in price for the second time this week. Personally, I replaced Lennon with Milner last night and he’s currently got the arm band too.

Carlton Cole (WH) is another one whose seen heavy investment over the last couple of days.

The thing with overloading your team with double gameweek players is that you are then stuck with them for a week or two. In the case of Villa defenders it’s probably not such a bad thing. They have (along with Chelsea – Ashley Cole not playing either) the best defense in the Premiership.

We’ll soon see how this weekend pans out, will this double gameweek be a profitable one? Are your competitors taking 4 point hits due to the injury crisis?

The mind boggles, aint it great?

In other news, I’m happy to report that I implemented a long term solution for the fixtures section of the app and you will now have the very latest data. Also, the data for next week will be available much sooner from now on.. useful for those managers who tend to make early transfers.

In other other news, I’m working on FFM 1.4. This is a major re-write which I’ve been really relishing and I’ve begun using 1.4 as my daily choice, Beta testing will probably start soon. That said, there are some key features I want to implement before releasing.

Right then, here we go.. Gameweek 11, be profitable!

Goodluck all

Quick update on the fixtures section of the app.

Next 5 and Next 10 are up to date and moving forward they will be available much earlier in the week.

Note that this week Villa & West Ham have double gameweeks. Worth having a player or two from these teams.

Favourable fixtures is being worked on and will be available shortly.

As you might already be aware, the Fantasy Football Scout website has been having some technical issues over the last few days.

Fortunately, Mark has done a very good job in restoring the majority of his website’s functionality.

Unfortunately, these issues have affected my own backend system which means that the fixture information within FFM is from last week. For now please refer directly to www.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk.

I’m working on a short term and also a long term fix for this and you will be notified when the new data is on your iPhone/iTouch.

A very brief demo of 1.3 which should be available on the AppStore really soon..

The main addition in this version is the inclusion of RSS & Twitter feeds from the most important Fantasy Football sources.

No music for this video I’m afraid, I’m still getting over the dramatic soundtrack from the previous video!

Anyway..

I’ve been looking for an excuse to get rid of Lampard, trouble is he did so well last year but finally I’ve done it.

In comes Fabregas for Lampard, freeing up some funds for next weeks transfer. Arsenal are looking very good for the next few weeks so I’ve now got an Arsenal def, mid and striker.. RVP is my captain choice for this week.

It goes against the grain a bit not to captain a midfielder but this year is looking like the year of the striker.

I’ve taken a four point hit to get rid of Turner at the back, very good budget defender but Sunderland have tough fixtures so out he goes. In comes Distin for Everton. Again, good fixtures for them and it leaves me with a nice pile of cash for the next game week.

Fingers crossed then.

Goodluck for the week.

I didn’t think this would be possible but City are suffering a crisis up front this weekend.

Looks like Bellamy will be on his own up front so probably a packed midfield in a tight game.
